David from Total Health and Fitness joined Good Things Utah to show how we can spice up our romance while sticking to your healthy lifestyle. What is the smartest way to incorporate a drink with or without alcohol without derailing your fitness program? David brought a couple of low calorie recipes to show that you can incorporate a drink without breaking the calorie bank. These recipes are beautiful and can easily be made sans alcohol.
David brought more good news — working out can improve your sex life. We have all heard about the dozens of health benefits that come with being healthy… little did you know that improving your sex life is a big one! Regular physical activity can improve your muscle strength and boost your endurance (hence giving you energy and stamina for a romantic evening). Exercise and physical activity deliver oxygen and nutrients to your tissues which help your cardiovascular system work more efficiently and according to the Mayo Clinic, “[r]egular physical activity can lead to enhanced arousal for women.” Men who exercise regularly are less likely to have problems with erectile dysfunction than are men who don’t exercise.
A workout or brisk walk is a great emotional lift, or a way to blow off some steam after a stressful day to help get you in the mood for romance. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. You may also feel better about your appearance and yourself when you exercise regularly, which can boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem…which equates to more confidence and energy in the bedroom. When your heart and lungs work more efficiently, you have more energy to go about your daily chores or sex.
Any couples who come in for a free no commitment evaluation with Total Health and Fitness during February will receive 2 free personal training sessions. This includes friends, partners, family etc.!
