Panaji: Tired of making money for others and seeking a better quality of life, Goans who had left the state to pursue careers in the IT sector are steadily making their way back to their homeland.
Mapusa resident Tyrone D’Souza is one such entrepreneur. The 27-year-old was working with InMobi and helped the mobile advertising company consolidate its operation in Singapore, besides forging the Bangalore-based company’s path in China – all this, at the age of 24. Yet, the allure of it all failed to prevent the bespectacled youth from coming back to his roots to start his own company in November 2014.
“I was tired of doing it (making money) for everybody else and if I could do it for them I could do it for myself. Besides, I always wanted to start my own thing,” D’Souza said. With this in mind, he started ‘Mobobeat’, a 15-member strong mobile advertising company, from the confines of his house.
