Today – the benefits of rehydration; menopausal migraine; rosehip powder; blood pressure medication and more praise for vitamin D
Growing up chubby as my mother had , she told me “everything you put in your mouth is fattening, even water”! Dear, silly Mummy! So for years and years I dehydrated myself , regularly had cramp at night especially when in hot countries .
At the age of around 52 (ten years ago now) I had a second frozen shoulder . While undergoing physio , a friend persuaded me to try drinking 2 litres of water a day for a week to see if I found a difference (the first pint on getting up in the morning being the most important he stressed). Found a difference?? Boy did I! Just four days into this, for me, quite hard regime my near-nightly cramp stopped, my carpel tunnel syndrome tingling and diminished grip in the mornings vanished , and my menopausal dermatitis (which I suffered from badly as a pubescent ) disappeared . AND on top of all that , my at my next visit a week later to the physiotherapist she marvelled and said “What have you been doing? Your shoulder is so much better I shan’t need to see you again” Wasn’t it wonderful?
