Opening mid-to-end of July, Smoothie King is coming to Tifton.
Jeremy Pate, who owns Valdosta’s Smoothie King, is excited to be opening one here. He said construction should be complete by this week or next week. Smoothie King will be located in front of the Tifton Mall on North Virginia Avenue, where the old Bank of America drive-through used to be located. The building will be 400 square feet with a drive-through and walk-up window. He said they will have the same variety as any other Smoothie King.
Pate, who says he feels like he’s from Tifton, lives in Valdosta but is originally from Ashburn. He lived in Tifton for years and graduated from Tiftarea Academy.
He said it seems like every time that he travels through Tifton, there is a new business. He said he wanted to be a part of that growth. Therefore, Pate convinced the Smoothie King franchise to allow him to open one up here. He said he felt like coming back home and opening a business in his hometown.
“This seems to be a natural progression in bringing Smoothie King here,” he said. He said he thinks the community will be very receptive.
“We’re happy to be coming to Tifton and want to do our best in bringing the best product and customer service,” Pate said.
